  • Expect to be surrounded by Black entrepreneurs at various stages of business seeking the opportunity to invest time in themselves as business owners, the opportunity to learn from our subject matter experts and featured panelists, make new connections across industries, gain additional resources for your business with the goal of returning to their respective communities around the country to launch, grow or scale their business. This is all done in a thoughtfully curated environment that is safe and allows you to show up as your full self.

  • The conference is in Richmond because 1 in 4 Black Americans can trace their roots back to Richmond, Virginia. Additionally, while many know Tulsa as Black Wall Street, there were over 30 Black Wall Street communities across the United States, and Jackson Ward was actually one of the first. So we are intentional in drawing Black entrepreneurs, particularly those in the non-tech spaces to Richmond for BLCK Street to connect to the role that Richmond plays in the history of Black America and history of Black entrepreneurship in America.

Our vision is that BLCK Street become the destination conference for non-tech based Black entrepreneurs in the same way that AfroTech and Black Tech Week are destination conferences for tech based Black entrepreneurs.
